Hi All,
It’s just a quick update on our regional charity, Leeds Children’s Charity took the decision to sell Silverdale last year and is now going into partnership with Lineham Farm.
Lineham Farm is situated in Eccup, Leeds and provides much needed breaks for our local school children.
Each week children are offered the opportunity to come visit during term time with their teachers for a fun-filled week of activities.
These activities include obstacle courses, cycling through the woodlands, Archery and many many more.
The farm is currently recruiting for volunteers to help look after the 120 acres of land they own, the works that needs doing include:
. Rubbing down and staining paintwork
. Clearing Woodland pathways and areas
. Making wildlife habitats in woodland
. Tree & Hedgerow planting
. Filling in Swan Lane Pot holes
. Mending cycle tracks in woodland, replacing with new wooden slats
. Mending bridges
. Clearing vegetable patch and the area in the bottom field
. Putting up clear signage
Lineham farm is extremely lucky with support, but they still need your help so that together we can really make a difference, lets put “Child” back into Childhood
